I'm hoping that this wouldn't be too difficult to implement ...
Orage has the ability to include custom background/foreground colors on the panel date & time. Thats awesome!
What Time is it provides you with a perfectly translucent background, to work with existing panel transparency. That's awesome!
However, neither of these panel apps is perfect for all background & panel themes/transparencies.
I would like to make a request, to combine those features into a single panel date & time app. That way, regardless if light background image, dark background, or transparency level in the panel, a user will always be able to obtain the perfect visual results to match the look & feel of the rest of their desktop/panel setup.

This is probably a request best sent upstream. The developers of Orage & What Time is it know their code and how to tweak it.
Any of us would be starting from scratch, having to puzzle out code another has written. Occasionally we can do that to squash a bug that keeps a program from building on MX (not upstream's problem because it builds on their systems), and we will consider improvement suggestions to the apps we have written - but trying to implement Feature Requests for another developer's project is a huge unnecessary time sink.

Do you have a link for "What Time is It"? Is it our repos under some other name?
