we've been trying to make the installer window resizable (it wasn't originally), and its caused some problems with that text box. sometimes just resizing the window will snap it back into place.anticapitalista wrote:Testing the 32 bit version on a Thinkpad laptop and in VBox. Installer blurb in left hand pane is distorted. Font size too big, perhaps?

Yes, I notice that myself. If I resize the installer window, that gets the text to wrap around correctly, though.anticapitalista wrote:Testing the 32 bit version on a Thinkpad laptop and in VBox. Screen is 15'. One I think that may have been missed.

Opened conky manager and unchecked everything.
Copied .conkyrc from Antix to a thumbdrive, then copied to ~/home/my name/
Started it up and

No need to double post. The post in the conky thread is sufficient.

1. how many new users will know that 'trick' when installing MX to hard drive?
2. it shouldn't happen. So, maybe reverting the relevant changes made to the installer would be better.

Yes, something like that would certainly grate on a certain reviewer!

I've got a fix for it.anticapitalista wrote:Yes, I saw that too, but ...Stevo wrote:Yes, I notice that myself. some of our users have HiDPI screens, and some of the text entry fields are too small unless we can resize the installer.

Good as reverting should not be an option. I found the re-size a good option on the installer.dolphin_oracle wrote:I've got a fix for it.anticapitalista wrote:Yes, I saw that too, but ...Stevo wrote:

Re: MX-17 Beta 1 Feedback Thread
I could not replicate that on the build machine, I will have to test that a bit more, it might be something that show up in the Qt version of the MX17.dolphin_oracle wrote:we've been trying to make the installer window resizable (it wasn't originally), and its caused some problems with that text box. sometimes just resizing the window will snap it back into place.anticapitalista wrote:Testing the 32 bit version on a Thinkpad laptop and in VBox. It should be something easy to fix once I figure out where the problem is, I appreciate that people are so cavalier with "let's revert", but it was a bit of a pain to make the installer resizeable, so I would not be so quick to revert.
