I've seen that too. Sometimes I have to close and then re-open Dolphin to finally see what I know is there.

My apologies. My reports of a problem using my Realtek RTL8111/8168B chipset for wired ethernet were wrong (previous posts now edited).

This was all a problem with a cable that wasn't pushed in all the way.

Stay away from DBeckett. His PEBKAC is catching.

Downloaded 32 bit Debian Google Chrome, did not install: Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libxss1 (X11 Screen Saver extension library)

I opened synaptic found the missing dependency & installed. Afterwards was able to install Google Chrome version: 33.0.1750.146

Where did the dependency come from? Did you have to add any other repo?

It's in the stock Wheezy repo, and there's just one version--no wheezy backports or updates versions to confuse apt.

did you use dpgk or gdebi to do the install?

Downloaded RC2 last week, no problems at all. How far away are we from a final release? I would like to
recommend MX-14 to a group that I moderate, but if final is in view timewise, I would prefer to wait for it.
