The problem has been identified. The same issue exists with the wiki. It is a server side issue. It does not like a leading slash. Hence a leading slash in front of /etc/X11 for example causes problems. In this case I just put bold tags around the slash and it took it.

Noticed one small glitch (sorry, didn't read the entire thread to see if it has been mentioned already).
If you click on a link to an external webpage (from a post) it doesn't open it in a New Browser Tab.
Instead it opens in the same Tab as (and replaces) forum.mepiscommunity.org

No, it's not always browser related. Granted center click will open any link in a new tab/window, depending on browser settings. But a link can be set on the webpage to to that also. On the old forums, the links opened a new window/tab. I know on the website I help manage at work, we have to specify whether to open a new window or continue in the current one. Personally, I like the way the old forum worked, but I tend to use the center click method regardless of how the webpage is designed, to make sure that I am opening a new window.

No, not really browser function ...at least, 95% of links that I click (mostly FF) do open in a new Tab as a rule.
It's not really an issue for me (i.e. just remember to Ctrl+Click them), but it's slightly inconvenient.
For example with 10+ Tabs opens, it'd be fairly easy to lose track of which one of them is "hiding" the forums behind it's Back button.

No, not really browser function ...at least, 95% of links that I click (mostly FF) do open in a new Tab as a rule.

I have added extensions in FF to control how links open. I no longer use FF, but I know they exist.

I think that most will think it will take longer than it really does. But I also think that feature-learning is going on and that's normal too.
Does anyone else have a one-line horizontal stripe of light blue-greenish color in all posts that lines up with the pyramids? It also appears on the front page and other places. One to each little section.

[minor rant] My personal feelings are that we have to many sections, I felt that we didn't need a new section for each New version of KDE that comes down the pipes. As it stands, it takes me something like twelve full mouse scrolls with my little hp ps2 optical. I find that distracting, especially if the new posts module, which I truly enjoy, has to remain at the bottom. [/minor rant]

That bothers me too. There are way too many sub-forums. And I agree with the comment about the KDE sub-forums. I mostly post in General forum, I have to scroll way down to find it. Many new people might find the structure intimidating.

We have more than 40 forums and for example forums.debian.net has 13 and all fit in one page (our forums not only that they are way too many but they also have wordy descriptions, the title should say it all, most of us will see those over and over, it's a waste to take up so much screen for something that people need to read only once, and some people don't even bother to do that, the forums should have a clear title and a description that should fit in one sentence or two, again take a look at forums.debian.net to see how much clear the forum looks like.

This was discussed earlier in this thread, (miss post numbers, need to look into that as a mod), It appears that members using nosquint or some who use Ctrl+ or CTRL ++ see a line. The suggestion was to change font size in browser preferences if you need a larger font. I do not have the problem so cannot verify if this fixes it. But some have reported success.

Agree, we need to work on this.
