That bothers me too. There are way too many sub-forums. And I agree with the comment about the KDE sub-forums. I mostly post in General forum, I have to scroll way down to find it. Many new people might find the structure intimidating.
We have more than 40 forums and for example forums.debian.net has 13 and all fit in one page (our forums not only that they are way too many but they also have wordy descriptions, the title should say it all, most of us will see those over and over, it's a waste to take up so much screen for something that people need to read only once, and some people don't even bother to do that, the forums should have a clear title and a description that should fit in one sentence or two, again take a look at forums.debian.net to see how much clear the forum looks like.
