Such an awesome job!! You guys made it look way too easy...the mark of true professionals.

Like watching Willy Mays catch a fly ball over the shoulder running away (forgive, me...I'm an American).

All the best,

Thanks for the tip about adjusting the Gamma settings on my monitor. I went through the entire procedure (Win 7 at the time) & it is somewhat better, now. Strangely, none of the other forums that I participate in have the same contrast/background problems as this one does. I will adapt....

Maybe I'm just used to the bright white background (snow) that I have been living with for the last few months up here in the "frozen North".

Thanks again to all, & I hope you enjoy a great Christmas.

Not sure where to put this, but the link to the forum on Mepis.org still points to the old mepislovers forum, and also there is no redirect at the old forum link, even googeling (sp?) still points to the old forum link, in one does not have the MepisCommunity link, pretty hard to find the new forum.

cheers,

Those redirect changes take a while to propagate, but thanks.

Most posts -and also forum overviews- show a wide horizontal black line in the new Forums
If you are using NoSquint or zooming in another way, you will get black lines.

For what it is worth, For Google Chrome, there is an extension, "Zoom It", that changes font size on the fly. It preserves the frame so large text fits in the frame, no horizontal scrolling required. There is also a "Change Color" extension that will change page colors for the page, domain, or all domains to a predefined set. Firefox probably has similar extensions other than No squint.

Joining in to say 'very well done' on the new forum. You guys are seriously bad! (don't the youngsters say that, or has it become obsolete already?)

Yeah, thanks. That BriteSparkz does not exist any more...we should have taken that out long ago.

For all those who've put in blood, sweat, and tears in this transition, THANK YOU! I know it had to be a labor of love and it's really appreciated a lot here. Super job.

I had trouble realizing that the link wasn't going to be in place early. Finely this morning my neuron fired  and I realized that I could enter the URL manually. :frustrated:

I'll let things settle some before making any comments on the way things are working or setup. I think those who have scrolling issues may need a tweak on their browsers. For instance on Opera there is a 'fit to page' switch that may help some.
Yes, even I am dishonest. Not in many ways, but in some. Forty-one, I think it is.
