MX-23 Request: picom-conf 0.17.0-1.1 from Trixie

#1 Post by siamhie »

Now that picom 12.5 is in testing (working great on my end), I was wondering if we could also get the GUI configuration to go along with it.

Package: picom-conf (0.17.0-1.1 and others)
https://packages.debian.org/trixie/picom-conf

I built it for test, but you can get it early here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RtVcab ... sp=sharing

It does need the newer libconfig11 I built for picom itself, also.
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

Works like a charm :number1:

Opened /usr/share/picom-conf/picom.conf.example in a text editor and saved it as picom.conf to ~/.config with no changes.
Launched Picom Configuration and made a couple of changes to get a feel for the program. I'd forgotten about the shadow effect.

When I see it show up in the repos, I'll mark the thread as solved.

Thanks for testing it. I should have made it clearer that if you're already using the new picom, you already have the new libconfig11 installed.

@Stevo I did a simulated install first and it passed, so I figured I was good to go. Thanks again for the build.
