Re: lock command in Exit Options
Isn't that so folks have to enter their password again to access the desktop?
Basically used in offices so folks who have no business on the thing cannot use it while the operator is AFK for a bit.

The lock command is
and it brings the user back to the LightDM greeter, while still being logged in, and able to return to the desktop by entering the password again. Used for situations where you might want to keep a session going, but need to go away from the computer :) as said above.
Code: Select all
dm-tool switch-to-greeter

Just gave it a try in mxfb, works as described - click lock button and login screen appears, enter password and you're back to the mxfb "desktop".

Yeah, worked for me too. Will definitely add it to the MX FB 25 development list--which, BTW, I want to start pretty soon.

Just tested it in fluxbox and it worked like a charm.
This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

Re: lock command in Exit Options
requiring lightdm:
<dm-tool lock>
differs a bit
<dm-tool switch-to-greeter>
which do you prefer for lock?
in terms of mxfb etiquette
