AVL 23.1 / e 0.27: strange behaviour of Qt apps

#1 Post by seriousness »

Hi,

with Enlightenment 0.27, the menu bars of Qt apps (Hydrogen, qpdfview) no longer appear on top of the window, but in the lower shelf (taskbar), which gets quite crowded - is there a way to put them back where they belong?

For the curious:

Hi,

Can you post a screenshot to show what you mean? I don't think I'm following. I'm on E 0.27 here and see no changes to how QT apps behave so something visual would help.

Here a picture of the qpdfview menu bar. It disappears when the window is minimized or in the background.

I had created a new Enlightenment configuration "from the scratch", so there might be a setting for this somewhere.

I removed "Anwendung" from shelf --> "Inhalte", and the menu bars appear on top of the windows again.

Phew, good! Since I use the AVL-MXe profile I was having a hard time figuring out what had happened, and I wasn't finding any relevant settings in the window settings.
