Markol, lastest plasma is 5.20, but, as Stevo said, I use a non-official repo, so I got 5.24
Running 5.24.6 from Norbert's repo myself :)
I can help you debug missing files/configs as my BT is working just fine
Well, that's a stroke of luck from my side. To be honest maybe I could get a little help from your side. There's a folder "/etc/bluetooth", can you tell me what's inside, and their values?
Thanks, man :)

I will repeat, did you try reinstalling tlp and tlp-rdw, or creating a new user and seeing if it worked for them?

tlp-rdw seems that it could be relevant to me...
Description: Radio device wizard
Radio device wizard is an add-on to TLP. It provides event based
switching of bluetooth, Wi-Fi and WWAN radio devices on:
- network connect/disconnect
- dock/undock

Stevo wrote: Sat Sep 17, 2022 3:38 pm Maybe reinstall ca-certificates? If that doesn't help, perhap the power-related packages, and then tlp, since it can also manage radio devices like Bluetooth.

But first open that log file I mentioned to see exactly what was removed. The remove command removes a lot.

And this is another opportunity to mention that this could have been avoided by restoring from a Timeshift restore point, or by making a personal system snapshot with MX Snapshot, especially if one likes to experiment...(nothing wrong with that at all, IMO).
I just made a Snapshot. Could you tell me how to virtualize it into my pc for future use?

Solution found:
By checking

Code: Select all

$dmesg
$inxi -Fxrz
I found some problems with my firmware (they are shown in a strong red), and that I didn't have hardware nor software for bluetooth. Therefore I had to solve this.
https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/intel-wif ... -36-error/ had the wifi firmware solved
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1050262 ... 4-thinkpad had the bluetooth firmware solution

At last, I checked for packages missing, through

Code: Select all

apt search bluetooth | grep blue

Sorry, too late I guess. And thumbs up for solving the mess ;)
