Who's insulting your intelligence?
I've heard of "give a man a fish", and I've heard of "teach a man to fish", but I've never seen "man gets upset after being told where to look up how to cook the fish he already knows he has" before. That's a new one to me.
Re: LOffice Impress Copy and Paste Malfunction [Solved]
The following works for me in MX-Linux, Kernel: 6.13.8-1-liquorix-amd64, Xfce 4.20
1. From main menu, go to Session and Startup -> Application Autostart, uncheck Clipman (clipboard manager)
2. Open a terminal to edit the empty file /etc/environment using nano or your favorite editor:
sudo nano /etc/environment
Then, copy and paste the following definition:
XFSETTINGSD_NO_CLIPBOARD=1
Save the file.
3. Reboot.

Re: LOffice Impress Copy and Paste Malfunction
First I came on to update that the problem arrived with the xfce 4,20 introduction / update in January. I have just systematically manually updated lots of stuff over the last few days and moving to xfce 4.20 creates the problem again. Among the files updated was Clipman.
Clipman was not listed in the 'Session & Startup' because I had removed it after various posts made in this thread and elsewhere.
Thanks to Eduard! My hero! The problem goes away, This operation in Impress I use a lot and I had to solve it somehow, even if I had to change the distribution of Linux or dare I say even reintroduce a Windows machine into my life :)
However, this has made my day and will e remembered for a long time to come... :)
I assume that you will not mind me posting this solution to AskLibreOffice with due accreditation - I had a parallel thread there?
Thanks again
