#1 Post by siamhie »

Just updated FF to 94 via synaptic pop-up message and several settings were changed.

Homepage was changed from duckduckgo back to mx blog (Home section)
New tabs was changed from blank page back to Firefox home page (Home section)
Pocket was re-enabled (Home section)
Ebay added back to Search Shortcuts (Search section)
Forms and Autofill fields were both re-enabled (Privacy & Security section)

I think you need to take this up with the firefox people and post on their forum.

hmmph, several of my settings changed to, but not everything. I don't know about the homepage settings, but my titlebar settings reset.

@mmikeinsantarosa anything in the notes about resetting certain profile settings?

When I was using Windows 10 every time Windows 10 had a major update the settings always seem to change and so you learn to go back and check and adjust settings after updates.

I always go back and check my settings and adjust if necessary after any version update from Firefox ain't no big deal imo.

This is the first time any of my settings have changed since using MX 19.3 (I'm on MX 21). The only new feature Mozilla introduced that I can see is something called Colorways (in the themes section).

Just checked for the release notes and Mozilla doesn't have any, just yet. I think 94 is being released sometime today. All the download links on Mozilla's page still point to 93.

I am running on a current release of Arch; it is using v93 of firefox.

Perhaps it's just a 'tad too early' to risk running v94.

It came in the regular updates, not test, so.. it's here. Unless you don't install it.

I upgraded and am fiddling with colorways. It's funny, but it's not my main browser anyway, so for me it's no biggie.

Arch has it in their testing, Mike is faster than the Arch folks, and well faster than most all Distros.... not just with Firefox but also with WINE.
I bet it takes longer for him to test than anything else, which is why we don't often see things sooner.
