Hardware discovery/configuration log can be read by running dmesg. It has been my go-to when in similar situations.

Our dmidecode outputs are very similar with my other HP , they are ok , however on my both HPs ; with lspci it shows "SD Host controller" ...

i.e.

Also from Menu : "System Profiler and Benchmark" => Devices -> "PCI Devices" ..

same info is present..


But .. since your lspci doesn't show anything related to such a controller ... maybe there's something loose inside...
