Have you disabled Secure Boot in your bios? You should also look for and disable Quick Start in the bios or Fast Start Up in Win 10 -- it's the same thing. In early builds of Win 10 it was a bios switch and in later builds it became a Windows control.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

After a lot of thinking, I personally decided to run MX as a VM on a W10 machine, secure boot and all, but it's great having a second monitor and OS, effectively.

Another machine happily shares W10 and MX, but will become MX only, soon. This machine plays nice.
