How to Set Workspaces Align Horizontal Only

#1 Post by nullpointer »

Hi there, hope y'all are doing well.
I am here to ask y'all how to set workspaces aligned horizontally only.
Right now, it can go right/left/up/down (I have added a photo of workspaces which looks like a 2*2 matrix).
Image

But what I want to do is set it to only right and left (one row only).
Can anyone help me fix it?

That image appears to have disappeared.

IF you are talking about the pager ("Workplace Switcher") in the panel, right-click it > Properties and drop the number of rows. BTW: right-click is your friend throughout Xfce.

Here is another image, cropped to show exactly what is happening.

Like this image, there are many rows. If I keep creating workspaces, then it increases like (1,1), (1,2), (2,1), (2,2), (3,1), (3,2), and so on like this photo:

I cannot find "Workspace Switcher"; however, there is a Workspaces option where I can define the workspace amount. The problem is that there is no option to define rows. So, it creates multiple rows.

As Jerry said, Right click -> Properties -> set rows.
Not the settings.

Workspace Switcher is the spot where your workspaces are shown in the Xfce panel. Find it, and right-click on Properties. Change Rows to 1.

I found changing the number of rows to match the number of workspaces works.
