New to MX KDE (trying out)  [Solved]

#1 Post by mattdebauge »

I'm MX Linux Xfce user over the year and decided to try out MX Linux KDE.. Installed it on other SSD drive and fiddle around. As for Widget. I added just Weather widget and didn't like it because it's too minimalist. I saw "Get new Widget". Clicked and typed search "weather" and found one which is Wunderground PWS widget. I clicked "install". After that I went back "Add Widget" and it's not in there. Am I missing something? Suggestion?

Thankyou!

Best to search on KDE Store by browser and check the comments. Make sure it's compatible with the PLasma version in MX23. Read the comments and see if other people are complaining about it, etc.

Thanks. I suspect that need to install KDE Plasma in MX Package Installer, I saw one on list. Will install it and see what I get. It's good to figure things out.

Thanks!

Gotcha!! Thanks! I just simply go to MX Package Installer and navigate to Desktop Environment--> KDE Standard (Plasma included). Installed it then rebooted my sytem. Got the Welcome to Plasma pop up window., set everything up. Then back to "Add Widget" then to "Get new Widget" , searched Weather then to Wunderground. I just simply uninstall then re-install it. Back to Add Widget and scrolled down and found Wunderground widget and added it. It works great! Consider it solved!
Thanks!!
