Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma beta 2 feedback thread

Al,

I think there is a disconnect, its not Jay's fault, I think with MX-21 bumblebee usage is being depreciated for the new setup which its to use nvidia-run-mx rather than the whole old way most people are used to.

Bumblebee did not get installed. At the end of the install it showed:
You ...

Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma beta 2 feedback thread

I tried installing nvidia drivers with the MX installer which did not help with either.
What happened? Did you get error messages? Your QSI shows that the Nvidia driver 460 was installed, so the driver installation probably succeeded.

Yes, the driver install succeeded. The only error was ...

Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma beta 2 feedback thread

I just got a new work notebook, MSI GE75 Raider, i7 w/ GeForce video, so I decided to give the beta2 a try on it. It's dual boot with Windows.

Re: New Forum Comments

I think admin edits if they don't submit reason don't show. For regular users I think there's a grace period (on other PHP3 forums I've noticed that "edited by..." appears only after the grace period or if somebody posted after your post).
This from the phpBBB website.

It will only be marked as ...

Re: New Forum Comments

And now, an hour later, I edited my last post for the 4th time, and it shows "last edited...", but it shows that it has only been edited 1 time.

Re: New Forum Comments

New edit post test. an edit

EDIT: An edit with a reason. Worked the same on a new post. 3 total edits, first time without a reason - no time. Second time with a reason, edit time shoes, third time with no reason edit time updated. It looks like once a reason is submitted the counter and time will ...

Re: New Forum Comments

OK, here's something else. I just noticed after editing my last post, that it doesn't show a "last edited" time. Is there a way to implement this? I have found it useful in the past. It's not hugely important, but a nicety. Maybe add it to the wishlist?

Or maybe I'm just not seeing it,... again ...

Re: New Forum Comments

I don't know if I have a setting somewhere wrong or what. I have Smilies enabled in my profile, but when I drag a Smilie from the group on the left side I get: http://forum.mepiscommunity.org/posting.php?mode=reply&f=10&t=29027# the link to it not the Smilie.
Just click on the emoticon that you ...

Re: New Forum Comments

@bigboppercole

loco pointed out an easier way that I overlooked. When in a post click on the profile button at the bottom of the post. It brings up the posters profile. so all that wordiness I posted was completely unnecessary.

Well, there you go;) Just different.
You know, I've noticed ...
