...Well, I followed those steps and the installation worked, but it still doesn't work completely. Phone connected and adb activated and the terminal gives me this error message:

$ scrcpy
scrcpy 3.3 <https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy>
ERROR: Device could not be connected (state=no)
ERROR ...

For those who use Reaper and are having the same problem assigning MIDI controls, I've found this method, although it will take me a while to learn how to use it and configure it correctly

Create a new directory where you haven't tried building & installing scrcpy.

Maybe something like this
random=$(LC_ALL=C tr -dc A-Za-z0 ...

I've tried the methods that worked for me on Ubuntu, and now, even following the steps on the website https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy/blob/master/doc/linux.md , I can't get it. I get a "Git error" in the final steps of the process.
