In almost all forums they tell you either to use your own words or "quote", otherwise you'll get banned just for this reason.
So, is this all you can say? "lose blah blah" or "eave the forum" as "moderato"rs ?

Save a copy of your current /lib/firmware/ just in case... and personally, I would do a timeshift before proceeding.
You don't seem to be sure about the advice you're giving. Cause:

Alternatively one can do this, which requires even no live media:
Create a custom ' fromiso ' grub entry in your current (installed) MX.
Even if your MX gets broken, if grub is still working you can select that menu entry and boot from your snapshot iso. Then install as always.

Sie müssen ./ (Punkt-Schrägstrich) vor dem Dateinamen verwenden, damit das Verzeichnis gesucht wird. Andernfalls wird in /usr/bin oder /usr/sbin oder /usr/local/bin nach Befehlen gesucht (und dann ist es normal, dass ein solcher Befehl nicht gefunden wird)
