Have I Gone Too Close to the Bleeding Edge Updating Kernel On AV Linux?
I actually can't think of any reason that I absolutely must install the latest Liquorix kernel just yet. I guess I got impatient waiting on the 6.14 kernel that will supposedly have the NTSYNC feature that's been getting some buzz. Anyway, I installed the Liquorix 6.12 kernel, but am unable to ...

Re: Feedback for AV Linux 25?
Somebody actually did this in the YT comments. If you scroll down a few comments somebody was kind enough to bother already.. I'm not a hardcore Youtuber so there is much I need to learn about polishing the content.. I'm kinda stunned that anyone watches at all and that I have any subscribers, it's ...

Re: Budgie works in Sysvinit in Devuan, but not in Sysvinit in MX-Linux.
I don't know enough about Sysvinit vs Systemd to issue any definitive statement about any underlying problem responsible for this budgie logout problem. If anything, the explanations offered here strike me as being more plausible than to blame this on budgie-screensaver not being installed which ...

Re: Feedback for AV Linux 25?
I don't really have any strong opinion about what should or should not be done with AV Linux 25 but I do wonder if doing a clean reinstall may become necessary or if just installing all of the MX updates, as these come along, will be good enough for keeping everything current? I do have a suggestion ...

Re: Call This a Respin of a Respin? LXQT on AV Linux
The compositing was set to software. Changing this to OpenGL did the trick and has dramatically improved the minitube video performance. It's now comparable to what I'm getting with LXQT.

Re: Call This a Respin of a Respin? LXQT on AV Linux
Sorry that I took so long to come back being the OP but you guys seemed to be doing fine without me. I've been doing fine so far running LXQT on AV Linux but I can't shake the feeling that trouble will inevitably come around the corner. I guess this may be a lack of faith in my tech abilities. I've ...

Re: Call This a Respin of a Respin? LXQT on AV Linux
I apologize for my tardiness but I've been tied up with other things that will preoccupy me until the weekend. I'll be very willing to continue this discussion then. In the meantime, this is how I can set up LXQT (and Plasma as well) using the command-line interface: sudo apt install --install ...

Call This a Respin of a Respin? LXQT on AV Linux
In what turned into a minor flame-fest with the thread 'What about a regular MX Linux with AV Linux config?', somebody pointed out that one can install a different desktop environment if one one wants to. Would that make this a respin of a respin? The comment made this to look to be a simple thing ...

Re: What about a regular MX Linux with AV Linux config?
How might I change the desktop environment and display manager after installing AV Linux? I'm trying to repurpose a so-called thin client PC and am finding a difference between how much the GPU is being utilized differently, using radeontop, between AV Linux and Lubuntu ( not Ubuntu). I don't see ...
