I use it in KDE. Works for me.

Two or three times a year I get tired of the wallpaper and go online and find new ones. I mostly get nature wallpaper put them in a file and use them for awhile then repeat the process. I did like the ones Charles V suggested.

I use Gwenview but on occasion a use Shotwell to download photos from our Android phones.
Since Linux is meant to be personalized I think it best to stick with Gwenview as it is a default
kde app and let people add whatever they think they need in addition.

It is late now and I just got back on here.
I will look at it tomorrow when I have time.
I have a lot of other things I should be working on.
I do have another hard drive on order so I have that option as well.

Yes, that is what I have discovered since I first posted. Home partition got too full. I had some extra space so I resized it but that is too late to fix the problem.
I can fix this but I do not have a recent osmo backup either. I can't see a way to recover that info since the computer won't boot ...

I have been using this as my main computer for quite awhile.
Yesterday morning it started booting partially.

For what it is worth I have several Lenovo that are the same model. I am not saying these are your make or model I see you have an Asus.
But one particular PC does this while other ones of same model do not. Just to say sometimes is may be an anomaly of a particular machine.

Thanks for your replies. I was beginning to think it might be in LightDM, but I didn't remember having to change it there in the past.
As for swap space not sure how I missed that when I first installed. This drive is much smaller than I normally use, it is the one that came with this machine.
