At boot the kernel chooses the driver automatically after detecting the hardware. Usually radeon is for older cards and amdgpu for the newer ones (probably including yours).
To check which driver is used run lspci with the -k flag.
lspci -k
finally installed the card and it works so far ...

I think Debian fixed it now, latest chromium got installed here without any special adjustments.
apt policy chromium

Is it foreseeable that a package maintainer will fix the problem permanently? If so, would I then have to undo everything possible and do a completely different procedure? What do ...

Hallo!
Ich habe chromium via apt installiert, vor einiger Zeit, und seitdem immer gut und gerne genutzt.
Bei meiner letzten Updateroutine ia Terminal wurde es scheinbar entfernt.
Da wäre direkt auch meine erste Frage: Wenn bei einem update via sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade mal etwas schief ...

I thought that disabling the iGPU would prevent the dGPU and iGPU from “competing” with each other and causing inconsistencies or errors. I will inform you again as soon as I have installed it how it works and which drivers are used :-)

I'll just test it, throw in the GPU and see if it works and which driver is selected by the kernel.
It seems like there are multiple different drivers for multiple aspects of the one graphics card?
