As the last part of my new install, I did the needed configurations, made a snapshot and installed it ( as test )
All is 100% OK

at paul1149 Being stuck at 93% I had 4 or 5 times already with MXlinux-cinnamon ( I think cinnamon-usergreen) In my case it was that I partitioned the installation partition with GParted , then rebooted and installed I can NOT remember < exactly > what I did that time, but...maybe it was like this ...

Yes , I read that, but......2 weeks ago I screwed up a few partitions, including CinnaMX-Joseph, Cinna-usergreen and cinna-senpai
so, I choose the new iso install
So, all is well again 1 ( till I ..... )

I have an Acer Aspire TC220 I also had problems with booting up / hanging for 39 secs to a minute I also checked PS etc etc It turned out that it was my bootloader which had dozenS of boot-entries from previous installed distros Using < efibootmgr -v > showed me which ones and using < efibootmgr -b ...

I did a fresh install, fully updated via synaptic and mxpi
Install went flawlessly. Same for updating !
Installation of new packages.....no problems

I got there and also changed themes, now all works as I wanted it

Senpai I started from scratch---.format partition / format usb / download snapshot again / burned to usb / installed / updated 121 files / installed folder-color-switcher ( from Synaptic ) / rebooted ---->> No mentioning of folder-color-switcher in the menu//submenu I give up >>> for now <<< Unless ...

Edit 2:
I downloaded the .deb package from Mint
Installed using gdebi
Synaptic shows it's there
Menu shows nothing
Clicking on folders shows nothing

FYI : it's working in pclos-deb-cinnamon
It's working in LMDE v6
