On my 14 year old Lenovo G470, 4Gb RAM and Bios only
Installed , removed unwanted packages, installed wanted packages, got rid of one kernel
Then cleaned with apt autoremove --purge and all is 100% clean and running

Request for assistance
A few weeks ago, my Acer Aspire desktop which served me well for 10 years, died on me !
Despites all my efforts/experience and same efforts of 2 friends, it's now declared << Gone >> and RIP

This leaves me with an over 10 year old Lenovo G470, Bios only .
I installed/updated ...

As the last part of my new install, I did the needed configurations, made a snapshot and installed it ( as test )
All is 100% OK

Being stuck at 93% I had 4 or 5 times already with MXlinux-cinnamon ( I think cinnamon-usergreen)
In my case it was that I partitioned the installation partition with GParted , then rebooted and installed
I can NOT remember < exactly > what I did that time, but...maybe it was like this ...

Yes , I read that, but......2 weeks ago I screwed up a few partitions, including CinnaMX-Joseph, Cinna-usergreen and cinna-senpai
so, I choose the new iso install
So, all is well again 1 ( till I ..... )

I also had problems with booting up / hanging for 39 secs to a minute
I also checked PS etc etc
It turned out that it was my bootloader which had dozenS of boot-entries from previous installed distros
Using < efibootmgr -v > showed me which ones and using < efibootmgr -b ...
