Re: Request for yt-dlp update [Solved]

I use the DMO repo and only grab what I need then disable it as I've experienced conflicts and breakage by keeping that repo enabled

In the case of yt-dlp it breaks if you don't get the regular upgrades, so disabling the repo causes the breaking. If I understand correctly YouTube makes changes ...

Re: The free software has a problem.

Remember kids, DRAM is the only measurement of computing. When choosing a new computer, you only have one question to consider, because you want the one with more Gee Bees.

Re: The free software has a problem.

Re: Strange boot-up problems on old desktop computer

Do you have any insight into the cause of the problems and the reason for the error messages which I have documented in this thread?

No, I don't. Thanks for answering my question though, I thought perhaps it had something to do with your troubles. Just a spitball, I do hope you get your machine ...

Re: Strange boot-up problems on old desktop computer

Your QSI says you have a 64-bit processor. Can you install the 64-bit version of MX Linux or does it have to be 32-bit for some other reason?

Re: MX Moksha "Out of Bodhi" Testing Release RC1

I love Moksha and MX-Linux, thanks to @AVLinux @Senpai @ylee2130 and everyone involved in doing this! Although I've gotten accustomed to XFCE, I look forward to switching over to Moksha.

Re: Running AI models locally with Ollama

Here is a simple chat GUI for ollama. It assumes you have ollama and at least one LLM installed already, and the ollama server running. You get a dropdown menu to choose between your installed LLMs and a basic chat window. And, yes, AI wrote most of this for me.

Re: Running AI models locally with Ollama

It works fine on my 8 yr old machine with an i7-8700 and NVIDIA GTX 1060. The GPU hits 60-70% when the LLM is responding. I tried to add Open WebUI (as instructed in this article --> https://itsfoss.com/ollama-setup-linux/) but was unsuccessful. It does work fine from terminal though, and it's kind ...
