Re: Turn off touchpad while typing. [Solved]

Tested and it works. I'm sure google will have the info on how to fine tune it if necessary now that I know where to look. Marking as solved.

The help button in the xfce4-mouse-settings application help button points to the old syndaemon way on the xfce site. https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4 ...

Turn off touchpad while typing. [Solved]

I'd like to turn off the touchpad while I'm typing. The solution in the xfce help, which also works on Puppy Linux and some similar distros, is to run this, but I get an the error below. Same with sudo and a root terminal..

Re: Looking for a new guiscrcpy package

I just finished installing scrcpy on MX-23 using the instructions at https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy/blob/master/doc/linux.md and came over to suggest that it would be a good application to make a .deb file of.

You have to compile it, but it's really easy. Just copy and paste.

It doesn't ...

Runs fine on $33 Chromebook

I'm running the latest MX XFCE version on a Lenovo Gen 3 11e Chromebook, whatever the standard debian kernel was a month ago, and everything works except the microphone and seeing the temp of the cpu. You have to install new bios etc, see mrchromebox.tech . (edit: fixed url)

They are $33 from ...

Feature request: Add a checkbox to turn off the collapsing scrollbars.

Add a checkbox, maybe to MX tweaks to turn off the collapsing scrollbars.

To do it manually you add

Code: Select all

GTK_OVERLAY_SCROLLING=0
to etc/environment.

Sorry if there already is one and I missed it in my rush to turn them off manually.

And thank you for the thick border themes. :number1:

Re: Best way to stop the kernel from updating [Solved]

I believe the OP's headers metapackage was already removed after 6.1.0-13, which is why the OP is getting the new kernel linux-image updates, but no headers, leading to all the dkms build failures.

Nothing was failing, I just want to be able to manage the kernel updates and only update when ...
