Thanks for the reassurance. It seems I have nothing to worry about and I can resume enjoying my recent switch to MX. Please ensure you update your post on the Distrowatch site - otherwise MX will become known as a distro with rootkits blah blah blah.....which is not the case.........and no don't ...

I've seen it trip over a pid file for udev, which a systemd booting system wouldn't have but a sysVinit running system does. xorddos is a pretty serious rootkit. I don't know that I'm comfortable continuing to use a distro that has identified rootkits, especially without an explanation from the ...
