... going back to ahs with 6.6.12-1 kernel gave same result.
went back to 6.1 kernel with live-iso. CPU with correct parameters Min/Max 800/2800
audio problem persists: sound via jack: perfect, via board speakers: maybe 3% volume at the max (barely audible)

Audio Hardware/Software Detection Issue

Hello Forum,

I am running a dual installation of
a) Fedora 40 and
b) MX-23-AHS

on latest kernels and so forth.

Prefer running MX, but there is a minor sound issue. Fedora 40 is giving full audio via board speakers and headphone jack, whereas MX will produce sound only via the headphone jack ...

thx to everyone, i went through all the suggestions but to no avail unf.

- latest kernel
- latest pulse-audio
- volume amixer set
- systemD started
- firmware-sof-signed latest
question would be, what is fedora doing differently ??

done the homework - even pipewire 1.0.3 from the test-repos, the success is partial: headphones are perfect, the built-in-speakers are recognized but they give only very very tiny sound (barely audible on full volume)... so something is still ...

tried latest kernel, but no. Is there any way i can use the drivers offered by the manufacturer or should this be reported to debian itself? (the drivers are meant for use with windows only i would guess. btw.: even Win11 has the drivers only in the OEM, and will not ...
