Thanks for the suggestions everybody. I just ended up installing slackware. The only graphical live type installation interface i could get to run was pop os and it was so slow it was impossible to get through the install.
Idk why all the graphical alternatives didnt work, something with the new ...

Ok so i took the 3070ti out and tried integrated graphics, same thing. Tried disabling tpm (secure boot has been disabled all along, but im grasping at straws here) same thing with tpm disabled, black screen.

Anybody have any ideas at all?
I have tried passing the vcard detection on and vcard menu options to the kernel and the same thing happens.
Also tried with slackware and void, same thing.

MX-packageinstaller wont start as root and if i run it as a user on the remote machine the authentication window cant be drawn.
If i run synaptic as root, X forwarding from the remote machine, it lists no upgrades.
