Re: gammastep, a Redshift fork
Hello Antediluvian
I removed Redshift which I had installed to start following booting, with a manually fixed latitude/longitude parameter. I installed gammastep following your guidance given above. It works well. Thank you.

Re: Need IP address for my printer.
How do I get my canon ts702a Printer ip address Hello jbander I may have misunderstood your question, but I believe you are asking how you can find out the IP address that your gateway router has assigned to your printer. You need to login to your gateway router and inspect the information tab ...

@Germ thanks for that, nice catch. MY propensity to not use flatpaks and my habit of using dashes, .... @justcomic1 You make a good argument, along with CharlesV about the package manager. Re: MX-23 MuPDF-GL bug [Solved]
Hello
This is not a fix for your problem, rather a potential work-around:
For PDF files I use the KDE program "Okular", which I install as a Flatpak. You may wish to consider trying it if you need more than the MX-Linux "qpdfview" can do.

Re: Securely delete all data on external SSD [Solved]
Hello Just a note, in case anyone finds it helpful... SSD erasure. As far as I know there is no certain method of achieving this. The problem is the controller-chip - you cannot be sure that all NAND-cells have been written to. With an HDD the situation is different; you have good tools and can be ...
