Thank you!
I make a snapshot every month or so. And backup Live-UsB Storage periodically.
Just happy with the OS and all the support... truly a wonderful group of people.

Just Thanks! Again.
Just wanting to thank you all, again.
Every time I screw something up, panic, and come here to beg for help, I use the "search" function and find answers enough to help me dig out of the hole I've fallen into.
So - I've asked for help very few times, but received tons of help many times. And I'm ...

Re: New updates, same ones, when I reboot [Solved]
You may consider to save the selected "persistence" boot option together with potentially other selected boot options using
LiveBoot menu -> Advanced Options -> Save Options -> grub save
This would make the selected persistence boot option pre-selected at next Live-boot.
Thanks that worked ...

Re: New updates, same ones, when I reboot [Solved]
Thanks MXRobo! I'll certainly check those out.
Brief update. Booted this morning, problem persisted. Re-booted and went to menu to re-select p_static_root and it booted correctly - Conky shows the / size (14 Gig) I selected yesterday from the menu, and bookmarks are the latest ones, not reverted to ...

Re: New updates, same ones, when I reboot [Solved]
Thank you fehlix! Somehow I had managed to screw that up - maybe when I did a snapshot, who knows?
The options were all there and I chose p_static_root because I seemed to recall that it was the correct one.
Upon continuing to boot, it had me choose a size for rootfs which it always asked for in ...

Re: New updates, same ones, when I reboot [Solved]
Thanks!! When I press Upgrade it seems to get all the packages and install them over the previous versions. Maybe goes faster than usual, but appears to work same as usual.
I can go into Persistence Options but am not sure which of them to pick; I think none of the 'frugal' ones is right but need ...

Re: Volume not mounting, or Thunar crashing system [Solved]
Thanks for the corrections!
An aside... it is possible that my entire problem episode stemmed from using a USB hub.
Much more water over the dam in the meantime, but plugging the MX USB stick in the 'fast' USB port, and plugging the problematic 1T USB drive into one of the other USB ports (in ...

Stevo you are right! I'm not rattled or anything.
I am wrong about what is going on. Went to move browser window, browser crashed and would not re-open.
Clicked on Shut Down and rather than orderly shutdown, it came back with the 'system going down Now!' message and went black.
