Re: Antix gui not load or resolution bad
Actually, if you read the last post in that thread (quoted below) you will see the discussion applies to Stretch, Buster and Bullseye. The same configuration that works for Stretch also works for Buster. For Bullseye, the appropriate kernel modules autoload, so no forcing of the appropriate kernel ...

Re: Antix gui not load or resolution bad
Unfortunately, I have no idea what you are talking about. I mean, I had to go look up the "cat" command in the thread I cited because I had forgotten what it meant! But, in the meantime, I have found some more information here: https://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-2060174.html which along ...

Re: Antix gui not load or resolution bad
I very much doubt any supported antiX is able to boot on that hardware. Well, it does and the link which I supplied above explains how to adjust the graphics, but I am not sure I understand the instructions, and that is what I need help with; so, here it is again: https://www.linuxquestions.org ...

Re: Antix gui not load or resolution bad
Something to keep in the back of your mind is that the Optiplex PIII GX110s were introduced in 2000 and that was at the beginning of the capacitor plague that came to light in 2002 - 2004 and which hit Dell really hard. Any of those machines that don't work or only partially work should be sent for ...

Re: Antix gui not load or resolution bad
For a very long list of reasons I really would rather not. Otherwise, I would not have asked for help.

Antix gui not load or resolution bad
I have a bunch of these old Optiplex PIII GX110s that I am trying to get Antix onto, but I am having a problem with the graphics. In 12 full, graphics is fine. In 17 base, it loads but is terrible. In 19 base the GUI will not load at all. I then skipped to 22 base and found that I am back to 17 base ...

Re: snapshot excludes question [Solved]
That is very helpful, thankyou! :-) The thing that confused me and that led me to first suggest using this: home/*/Desktop/*/Folder/* instead of what you sugggested, namely this: home/*/Desktop/Folder/* was entries like this in the excludes file: home/*/.cache/mozilla/firefox/*/cache2/* but if I ...

snapshot excludes question [Solved]
I could not find an answer for this unbearably simple question and so here it is: I want to exclude a specific folder located on the desktop and I could not find an example that I could follow. I know in the excludes file there is this example entry: home/*/Desktop/* which I am guessing is used to ...

Re: MX-snapshot stuck at 85% will not complete [Solved]
Perhaps.
Update: Full featured, live USB created successfully from the above-mentioned snapshot, checksums okay,
although I don't have time to test it further today, to see if it will boot ok, etc.
