Re: How to protect and detect keylogger and/or password stealers?
You can open up 'htop' by searching for "process viewer" in the start menu I believe. This will show you absolutely everything that's running and what permissions it has. If you're familiar with all the components of your system it's fairly easy to spot if something strange is running (ie a script ...

Re: Restarts if I leave computer for more than 10 min
Hi. I hope you are still around.
If I had to take a guess, I'd say your PC does not support either suspend to RAM or hibernate and something is causing one of the two.
When you ran Arch, did you use suspend/hibernate? If you start with systemd instead of sysvinit, does the issue persist?

bash-config "default" and "custom" prompts don't function properly
Using bash-config to change the prompt to "fancy" and then back to "default" doesn't function properly. The prompt stays on the fancy prompt. Changing it to the "custom" option works, but throws an error every time bash is opened: bash: BASH_CONFIG_USING_CUSTOM_PROMPT: command not found Here's the ...

Re: /~/.profile and alias-definitions
I would advise against using .profile. It is only used when you start a login shell (such as with ssh or when logging into a console) and most display managers don't load it. You can source .profile in .xsessionrc and it will load. For aliases, putting them in .bashrc or .bash_aliases should be fine ...

Re: Distrowatch review grumbles
I don't really understand the premise behind Manjaro. They're trying to make Arch user friendly, but honestly aren't there enough "user-friendly" distros out there? It's not like an average user cares about the wonderful command-line package manager and updater, and source code, etc. They want to ...

Re: Fluxbox applications menu not populating with games [Solved]
I saw this got updated today with mxfb-accessories. Nice! Unfortunately though it is currently broken when it comes to .desktop files that contains spaces. So you get errors like this: grep: /home/jon/.local/share/applications/Team: No such file or directory grep: Fortress: No such file or directory ...
