im not sure how to add https://www.deb-multimedia.org/dists/stretch/
this is the reason i opened this thread , sometimes it says couldnt read Realease file or something ... i tried to modify i tried to add gpg key but i guess im just doing it wrong and i ...

i kinda have an idea on what breaks the system and i am on virtual machine anyway , i always test things before applying it to the main system (which i have the backup just in case)

the probleme was with some packages gcc related that i had to install or update i did this on linux mx 18.3 and it worked

so im trying to understand how Ram works to give people who have old pcs a precise answer on which linux distro suit them (DE/WM)
so i have been testing MX 21 on virtualbox wih those settings :

i didnt mark the thread as solved cuz i wanted to extra check , i did a fresh raw and new install and the MX Package Installer worked i installed the antiX 4.9 kernel without synaptic just MI
the only thing i had to do was to uncheck this one and install manually :

even when i used google chrome with a 720p youtube video wih mx 18.3 (nothing changed just upgreades) i had still som free ram that is free so i dont understand why does he need to upgrade to more than 1gb in this case i personally told him to upgrade cpu to something like quad core
