Re: Flatpost > New Distro-agnostic flatpak manager
Seems awfully early in development for us to take it on. I downloaded it, converted it with: sudo alien --scripts flatpost-1.0.5.fc41.rpm and installed it apparently successfully. Won't go any further b/c I don't use flatpaks so lack the folders it looks for. Nice looking screenshots:

Re: Is MX More Popular Than We Think?
The download count SourceForge gives us right now seems even more impressive too considering the downloads should be at the low end due simply to the fact that we are months away to the release of Debian 13.x.
This statement ignores the fact that general support for Windows 10 is ending in ...

Re: Is MX More Popular Than We Think?
How popular do "we" think it is?
We as in the MX community in general.
I, of course, don't know what everyone thinks for this and am making generalizations, but I was personally getting the impression that the MX community think MX Linux is some really niche distribution in reality.
The ...

Re: Is MX More Popular Than We Think?
There is a distrowatch topic on this with about 60 pages. Might be a good start.
I'm assuming this is the thread you're referring to? If so, that's a lot more about Distrowatch reviews than anything. Most of the posts in there are also 3+ years old. I still think MX is indeed more popular than ...

Is MX More Popular Than We Think?
I looked at a couple blog posts enumerating the amount of downloads MX gets per week. Honestly, although it's not Ubuntu numbers probably, it still seems to be an awful lot. Are we underestimating just how many people use MX?

You got lucky, man. Sometimes SMART doesn't work and the drive just immediately fails. With that said though, perhaps my knowledge is outdated and SMART is better than it was.

Re: Flatpaks Tab is Broken for Me [Solved]
I found what the issue was.
If you are using a VPN, disable it and try again.
Tried that. Nah, wasn't it.
I'll add that there have been some reports lately that out L.A. repo is acting up, so you might try switching to our Salt Lake City repo.
Wasn't it either.

Flatpaks Tab is Broken for Me [Solved]
I tested this on a LiveUSB and wasn't able to replicate this, so I'm pretty sure this is just me. Running mx-packageinstaller in the console gives this error.
"Could not list packages from flathub remote, or remote doesn't contain packages"
No packages whatsoever will display in the list window ...

Re: GIMP RC3 is Now Live
Gimp fails to build on backports from Sid. Even exact rebuilds of other backports that have been successful, such as Ubuntu Handbook's, fail with the same error, so I'm going to look again at my new backport of gegl to see if that's at fault.
Roger that. Hopefully you'll be able to get around ...
