After many years of using unstable/rolling releases, I've settled on Debian stable (bookworm) + backports, but would like to migrate to MX considering it is kind of Debian++.

My root is on single SDD, while home is on 2 HDDs assembled in mdadm's raid1 array.

Found on the internet workaround for my problem...one has to launch Emacs with:

XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 emacs



but I must say that it's the first time that I require such workaround on my machine which was running plenty of different distros (Debian, Fedora, openSuSE..). :rolleyes: :confused ...

If it contains the "desired" result, logoff/login.
