Re: software to burn a .IMG file to usb pendrive? [Solved]
I wanted to try out EasyOS couple of months ago, and that comes as an .img. Had no problem burning it to USB stick with MX Live USB Maker, and once done it booted up without any issues.

Re: Another Canon Printer Issue (Solved) [Solved]
Installed gutenprint and all works ok I'm pleased to say. Took a few minutes to get my head around settings but got there in the end. Printed both a photo and a document, both fine.
Thank you again.
Thank you again.

Re: Another Canon Printer Issue [Solved]
Thank you for the replies. I see that gutenprint does only list the Pixma IP2700 as "experimental", but I'll give it a try some time over the weekend and see how things go.

Another Canon Printer Issue (Solved) [Solved]
Any way I can get my Canon printer working? I've had no joy so far, looks like there are no Linux drivers available, although I'm not 100% sure. The printer is a Canon IP2700. When plugged in to the USB port and switched on MX recognises it's there, but that's as far as it goes, won't print anything ...

Re: MX linux 23 Grub Menu overriden by another distro's grub menu [Solved]
I've just been having a similar problem, not with Sparky but another distro. Only the other distro appeared in the boot menu. My first thought was to run MX boot repair, so I did that and MX reappeared in the menu. Thing is the other distro had vanished! When I checked mine already said GRUB_DISABLE ...

Re: Why do you prefer MX over Debian or Mint (or others)?
Everything is so easy with MX. I have 3 laptops, my main one (the most powerful) I run MX, and that is my daily driver. On the least powerful I run antiX, or occasionally Puppy Linux, as being such an under powered thing it needs something lightweight. The performance of the third laptop is ...

Re: What old beast are you proudly running MX Linux on ?
MX21 on 2009 Dell Inspiron 1545, dual core, 4Gb RAM. Bit slow to boot up but it's fine once it's up and running. Bit like me, takes me a while to get going in a morning, but I'm ok after a coffee

Dell Inspiron 1545 - No Problems
Ok, first post, so here we go. I'm not completely new to Linux, but I would still only rate myself as 2 or 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. Started trying a few distros about 18 months ago, and eventually settled on Mint. Happy with it until few weeks ago when I decided to install the latest version, Mint ...
