Simply using the "Grub" bootloader solved my issue.

I recently scavenged back from the dead an old Acer laptop.
My idea was to install MXL on it, as I've done in the past with a Samsung RV511.

Key details:
Bootable USB created using Rufus 3.20.1929
MXL 21.2.1
Laptop: Acer Aspire 5552 with AMD Phenom II X3

How the heck did the Broadcom card get involved here?

It looks like you have corrupted downloads of the updated firmware packages to me. But if you don't want your output to be in Spanish, that's another issue you should fix first. If it just happened, perhaps your system has deeper problems ...

Oh I see, this is a laptop. So I'll just have to find a way to stop the thing from updating then. I don't think I have access to the Wifi Card.

I always use the green box on the bottom right and now it's giving me issues.
I don't know what's happening. Here's the error, that for some reason is in spanish instead of english:

I never really touched anything besides the automatic updates, and the /boot partition got filled.
Just in case you consider increasing the size in this next MXLinux version.

Hello, I don't know why but the MXLinux installer made the tiniest /boot partition ever seen and now I'm having issues with system updates where I run out of /boot partition space.
I currently have 300Mb /boot partition.
System is SSD and it's under GPT.
Partition Layout:

/dev/sda1 -> /boot ...
