Been good for me too although I'm still working on how to control my VC fan speed, also mouse wheel speed while in a browser is agonizingly slow, nothing I have tried works.

Re: MX is Cool [Solved]

I like it for the freedom from windows and anything associated with Bill Gates, hopefully Gates doesn't have his filthy mitts in Linux as well, I like the customization for the Desktop especially using Plasma, as far as being faster I haven't noticed that but I have noticed slower startup and ...

Re: Kodi and MX

Ah, it should be like this:

flat-volumes = no

(nothing before and nothing after - not even blank spaces)

Your line is still commented out which means it will use default setting for PulseAudio and for this version of PulseAudio that means flat-volumes is enabled.

Just adjust the line as ...

Re: Kodi and MX

We need to know if flat-volumes is still enabled on your system.

Open for example VLC and adjust volume and see if your master volume changes. Or change master volume in panel and see if VLC volume changes.

If both change together then flat-volumes is still enabled.

Re: Kodi and MX

Edited flat-volumes to 'no' from 'yes' and that made 0 difference

You need to reboot after changing config as root. Make sure your line looks like this in the /etc/pulse/daemon.conf file:
(no blank spaces)

flat-volumes = no

Re: Kodi and MX

It is most likely the flat-volumes setting, which is only used by default in Debian/MX. It has even been changed in upstream PulseAudio.

See this thread:
Make "flat-volumes = no" MX-15 default

Re: Kodi and MX

Please run Quick System Info and post your system information. Just run it then right-click paste in a reply, don't copy/paste. Instructions are here if you need them. Thanks.

I jumped over to an XFCE DE to see if it was caused by KDE but that's not it either???
