Yes, that'll work after they install that outside repo and its key, but only after. Just want to make sure.
Yes, this is correct. My bad :P.

The package only shows after u install alacritty from the debian package and doesn't show if u uninstall it

Re: Installing Alacritty [Solved]

Thanks. Now I could resolve and build it myself.

Also, for anyone in the future,

Code: Select all

sudo apt install alacritty
does the job too :P

Code: Select all

just do apt search alacritty
before that incase of any doubts like whether it exists or the available version.

Re: Installing Alacritty [Solved]

Sorry to keep bumping this thread but searching for alacritty debian also lead me to this

https://launchpad.net/~mmstick76/+archive/ubuntu/alacritty

which allows adding ppa (maintained by pop!_os team apparently). I know adding ppa is not really recommended but I will get auto update notifications ...

Installing Alacritty [Solved]

I am unable to install alacritty. After reading the error msg from

cargo build --release ( same for cargo install alacritty )

I believe the problem is due to the error msg during installing the prerequisites as mentioned in their installation instructions:

apt-get install cmake pkg-config ...

Re: QSI showing October 2019 [Solved]

Oh! Then all's well. Is there a way to get the Debian subversion, like whether it is '10.9' or something. Like this command but with subv

Code: Select all

~ $ lsb_release -d
Description:	Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)

QSI showing October 2019 [Solved]

I regularly update my system as soon as the updates are shown. But this information remain frozen. Comparing with this https://mxlinux.org/current-release-features on latest features there doesn't seem to be any other trouble. But is there a way I can fix this?
