Re: MX-21 RC1 feedback (Xfce)

I've read the continuing saga of CSD and have even posted here about it when I couldn't find the option to turn it off, which was much appreciated early on. Given that the nocsd options are work-arounds that cause problems, I've decided it's time for me to move on and live with CSD when running ...

Re: MX-21 RC1 feedback (Xfce)

@computerworm01001 and @hebelwirkung the ability to use gtk3-nocsd still exists, you just have to install it yourself, I believe the toggle then shows up in MX Tweak. But when you do this you take responsibility to all the issues that arise with it such as this one https://forum.mxlinux.org ...

Re: MX-21 RC1 feedback (Xfce)

Just use libxfce4ui-nocsd like everyone else. Even SwampRabbit posted a screenshot showing libxfce4ui-nocsd so I don't know why he pretends it doesn't exist.

Re: MX-21 RC1 feedback (Xfce)

5. As mentioned, archive manager has. And even since several versions of MX. There are non-Gnome3 alternatives available, such as Xarchiver. One of those alternatives should be the default. It would add a lot for a consistent desktop.

I second the motion to use xarchiver in lieu of file-roller ...

Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma beta 2 feedback thread

But I've bigger fish to fry right now, like what is with the USB mounting error I cited in my original post? I share my computer with another person, and it is very inconvenient for them to not be able to mount USB flash drives under their user account.

is the drive in question still mounted ...

Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma beta 2 feedback thread

I'm not sure PATH really helps in crontab, you probably have to use the full address, I would use "/bin/tar" not "tar"

Still doesn't work, but that's OK. The only root commands I really need to automate are rtcwake, pm-suspend, and fstrim. So I'll just modify my doas.conf and run them under my ...

Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma beta 2 feedback thread

Hello all,

I've tried the XFCE and KDE beta2 isos. I liked the KDE one so much, that I've been using it as my primary system for the past week or so. I will list here all of the improvements and bugs I have encountered in KDE beta2. I don't know which bugs are caused by KDE devs, which by Debian ...

Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma beta 2 feedback thread

Hello dolphin_oracle, :wave2:

First, I want to thank you and all the MX devs for the good work you do. I'm very excited for the release of MX-21! :celebrate:

Unfortunately, when I went to download the KDE beta 2 ISO, I found that there is no signature file for it on SourceForge. Please fix this ...
