Re: Thunar takes several minutes to open initial subdirectory
I installed Dolphin and it worked fine. Tried it 3 times and worked ok. Thunar will open sub-directories like the camera folder quickly. While checking the time, it varies between 3 to 6 minutes to open a folder with many files. Tried the 'jmtpfs' and I can see the Pixel in Thunar, but it won't ...

Re: Thunar takes several minutes to open initial subdirectory
Have you tested the phone against another OS? Tried W10, works ok. Took 2 seconds to load the pictures directory. clampett on my android I have to make sure Thunar is set to Local Files only on Show Thumbnails, which makes a major difference on loading that pictures folder. Also, I usually put ...

Thunar takes several minutes to open initial subdirectory
When connecting my Android Pixel 8a by USB cable, Thunar was working great. Recently it opens Android ok, but when I try to open a directory, like my pictures folder, it takes around 4 minutes. Sometimes more. After the initial opening, Thunar returns to normal and I can go from directory to ...

Re: Any tactful bullying for our MX - The need for our unity [Solved]
When I started with MX, I loved it was simple to use and had the tools which negated most of my notes for CLI. The system is so solid, I found I didn't even need the MX Tools near as much as I needed the CLI in other distros. I read the negative posts I can find because I never know where knowledge ...

Re: Power settings lost. (Not lost, but not being applied.) [Solved]
My issue was similar.
I installed Xscreensaver.
opened the Xscreensaver setting.
Chose Mode Disable Screen Saver.
I've only tested it once without rebooting, but it has worked thus far.

I read where others that had your MOBO had same results as you.
voila, I installed Xscreensaver, then had it change MODE to Disable Screen Saver. Tested for 15 minutes and screen remained on........

Re: suspend mode active after update and toggle it on/off again fails to deativate [Solved]
I tried. No luck. Rebooted with Power manager disabled. Screen went off. Retried with Power Manager enabled.. The new file has several lines missing that the old file (xfce4-power-manager.xml) had. I'll keep the new file, at least until I get resolved and know if it is part of the problem. Thank you ...

suspend mode active after update and toggle it on/off again fails to deativate [Solved]
I saw the other thread with the same issue, but the solution failed. After rebooting, 10 min & 8 sec my screen goes blank again. I disabled the autostart of the XFCE power manager. Rebooted. 10 min & 30 sec, screen powered off again. Monitor just says lost signal. I'm using the system now but will ...

Re: Android file transfer
I'm unable to transfer files between my Samsung Galaxy S22 and my MX Linux system. When I connect the phone via USB, I only see options for "Battery charging" and "Device control" on my phone. I'm not able to see the "File Transfer" option. On the phone: Tap the USB and when the charging options ...
