Re: Bluetooth connection not working [Solved]

Right - I used a dongle. And forgot about it.
Sorry guys. Thanks for your time, and Happy Holidays.

Re: Bluetooth connection not working [Solved]

Well, I guess so, because it worked in the past.
How can I check its actual presence, please?
Thanks.

Bluetooth connection not working [Solved]

Hi, thanks for your precious help. I just installed the latest MX version from the site. When trying to connect my Bluetooth headphone, after activating Bluetooth after being prompted to do so, I notice that the program flashes quickly, while trying to start, but then disappears. I use Blueman ...

Hi, with the config below there is still no automatic sleep mode when closing the laptop screen, and no manual sleep mode either. When clicking on "sleep"; the laptop goes black and is impossible to wake up. I have to restart it every time. There must be a solution,...

using 3 external screens (in Windows)

Hi, I apologise in advance for coming here with a Windows question, but you will understand.
I have been using 3 Dell screens under MX Linux on my Dell Optiplex 7010 for years. With immense regrets I had to switch to Windows where I cannot get 3 screens to work - with the exact same configuration ...

Re: Using Virtualbox seems to slow down the system [Solved]

@SwampRabbit Thank you, I had already downsized to 3 CPU cores, 2GBs RAM, 64MBs for the GPU before reading your comment. It clearly makes a difference.
I will certainly go for an SSD, too.

Re: Using Virtualbox seems to slow down the system [Solved]

@antiX-Dave - Many thanks for your tips. I ignore how Teamviewer ended up here, certainly not installed by me nor on purpose.
I use ClamTK, so I think I should keep Freshclam?
I do use a printer, therefor I am hesitant to uninstall system-config-printer. Maybe once the printer is installed, it is ...

Re: Using Virtualbox seems to slow down the system [Solved]

"Maybe someone with more systemd knowledge can help you trim down some of the running programs to get your idle ram down from 3+ GB usage."

Frankly, I am not knowledgeable enough to understand whether running on systemd is better or worse than any other option. Also, I would be most grateful to get ...

Re: Using Virtualbox seems to slow down the system [Solved]

"The lockup is because there is no memory for the system to work with after allocation to the virtual machine."

This I fully understand.

"You have a bunch of things running that I would consider extra...." - That's interesting, I am always eager to shut down and/or eliminate everything that is ...
