No loks like opencl also here is up and running ...

after longer time on Ubuntu, I am currently switching back to MX Linux.

I also have issues enabling opencl for my nvidia Setup.

Looks good so far ... Steam installed and it pulled updates and starts fine.

No I will in next step try to re-install NVidia driver, but looks good so far.

Might be, that initially the NVidia driver were installed from test. I had opencl issues that then were resolved by the 455 version i think initially available in test.

steam is removed - autoremove done with no further packages to be removed.
re-install of steam still fails with

Well... Uninstalling nvidia actually was, what I think I did before trying to install steam, as I read of issues with nvidia in place.

Trying to purge of nvidia again with your given command still seems not to help.
Trying to install steam still produces:
