Looks like fun!

All of my Browsers are set to open where I was when I closed them. Or restarted the system.

My daughter keeps me informed (along with my brother) about facebook stuff that might interest me. Twitter is not interesting (to me) unless it makes the evening news.

I can only add that I run Kwin and have System Settings without (as I perceive it) problems. I did not stop there however, I used the PI to install KDE-Standard with some additions.

My Acer Aspire One, Atom 1.6 GHz single core (HT), with 2 GB RAM and 160 HDD Handles MX fine. But will upgrade to an SSD before I give it to someone. Been a great little Netbook.

Nor have I. After all I want to use my PC not have a set of specs to reach.

My 'AAO' N270 with HT, 2 Gb RAM, 160 GB HDD took migration fine. Along with adding a lot of software via the Package Manager. No hiccups as yet. i386 seems fine here.

My Netbook is a single-core Atom with 2 GB of RAM and a 160 GB HDD. The default MX-15 and antiX run fine on it. It is not a primary system except when away from home. It is still very useful to me for remote access to the Internet.

Memory is cheap. I'm running 8 GB on my old Daily Driver. Along with 240 GB SSD. 16 GB on a newer machine. With a 120 GB SSD. Interfaces are like food preferences. What you are used to and what's convenient. I have nothing against XFCE except less familiarity. It works fine and certainly doesn't ...
