RedHat has been a pay-for enterprise distro since inception, no? Money talks.

Overall, I don't see how it can utterly fail, given the way world economies are going.

No, I cannot say how that conf file came to be without my going over all I did on purpose or inadvertantly, bu wouldn't put it past myself!

iT APPEARS that Intel graphics drivers are now causing me more concern than nVidia drivers ever did!
WebGL was not functioning and error message referred to Intel driver updates . . .

Will go back to 4.19 xx kernel for starts.
