Re: avidemux segfault crashing

MXPI is segfaulting on him... :frown:

When the tools you need to fix your segfaulting problems start segfaulting, it's time for a reinstall and a thorough after-action report of where you went wrong. It may have been a wacky config change, or a file system error, or a hard disk failure. Or ...

Re: avidemux segfault crashing

Kermit said MXPI, not Synaptic.
Open the whisker menu and type MXPI for MX Package Installer.

Also, don't use the Quick search in Synaptic, instead open Synaptic, and press "Ctrl+F" you'll find them this way.
Always (at least I think/do) use "Ctrl +F"

Good Luck

Re: avidemux segfault crashing

What if you install a Liquorix kernel from "MX Package Installer" (takes just 2-3 clicks) and try when booted with?

jeff@max:~$ mx-packageinstaller
Segmentation fault

:spinning:  :bawling:

I don't see anything called Liquorix in synaptic, how else can I get it? Will that fix the ...

Re: avidemux segfault crashing

Hi,

I'm using the AppImage and I haven't had any issues.. What does running 'apt-history' in a terminal tell you about what may have been installed a week or two ago?

Hmm, as I recall, I was having some video issue, apparently something to do with the new kernel not supporting legacy nvidia? I ...

Laptop Won't Suspend (Requires Authorization?)

I installed MX on a Thinkpad T470 (system info below) and it doesn't want to go into suspend. When waking it up past the suspend time, I get following the message along with the password dialog box:

Authentication is required to suspend the system

An application is attempting to perform an ...

Re: Howto change window border color

In XFCE4, right-click desktop > Applications > Settings > Window Manager

That should allow you to change the titlebar color from among whatever colors are included in the theme.

As far customizing it to a completely different color, I don't have that theme so I can't say for sure. One way I have ...

Ok, I see a couple of antiX kernels there, those must be the ones. Strange there's no access to earlier kernels through synaptic, I would have expected at least a couple of older legacy kernels there. But whatever works, thanks
