Re: MX23.6 xfce - Onboard keyboard keeps crashing. Still looking for a fix.
Have you tried reinstalling onboard ?
Yes, but I didn't in the end, because onboard is a dependency of lightdm-gtk-greeter-mx23.
If I try to uninstall onboard (that's what happening before it installs again), I will also loose lightdm-gtk-greeter-mx23.
see if there are error messages ...

MX23.6 xfce - Onboard keyboard keeps crashing. Still looking for a fix.
(EDIT: Sorry, there was a typo in the "Subject:". Of course, I'm running MX 23.6 xfce, not 23.5)
After several months, I'm still trying to find a fix for the issue, where the "onboard" keyboard icon is disappearing when my bluetooth mouse wakes up from standby (for example, if I watched a longer ...

Re: MX 23.5 xfce - How to translate TigerVNC 1.14.0 flatpak, please?
There are only deb's and the source code, but no flatpak there.
I thought that maybe you could add the latest non-flatpak version ( see the 1st one here, please ) of TigerVNC (which is 1.15.0) to the MXPI, because I guess, the non-flatpak versions of TigerVNC are more likely to contain translation ...

MX 23.5 xfce - How to translate TigerVNC 1.14.0 flatpak, please?
To be able to access my Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB) with Bookworm 64bit, which is running headlessly (without a TV as a monitor), I installed TigerVNC on my MX 23.5 xfce.
First, I used version 1.12.0 from the active repo of the MXPI, but I got a message about a certificate mismatch each time, right before ...

Re: Mx 24.5 xfce - Onboard tray icon is gone after YT video in fullscreen mode, and BT in sleep mode
Today, I continued examining this issue.
I found the ConnectionNotifier extension in the bluetooth manager, which I unchecked a few weeks ago.
But I tried that one both checked and unchecked, but again the icon was disappearing.
Then I thought, let's see what's going on in the greeter settings ...

As far as I remember, the message was indeed mentioning wayland. I was able to install it (same version like yours), but I cannot use it in any way, because it seems to me meant for wayland.
And it doesn't fix the icon issue.
Meanwhile, I tried a locally saved mp4 video, played in SMPlayer in both ...

Ladies and Gentlemen!
"We" (absolutely not!) proudly present... The worst idea of the day:
<! -- <value type="string" value="Onboard"/> -->
After that, the task bar was simply a total mess. :duh:
I had to reset and rebuild it.
My hope is now, that maybe this fixed the disappearing icon issue as ...
