Re: Best format option for small SD card

The Format USB app does not recognize my SD card in /media/Dan/MICRO SD (/dev/mmcblk1p1). So I am going to (sigh) have to use the Terminal. Oh, well. I should probably become comfortable with Terminal commands sooner or later.

What is the command to format it as FAT32?

[SOLVED] Best format option for small SD card

I'm using MX on an old ASUS mini-laptop.It has a slot for a SD card. I have a spare SD card so I thought I would stick it in there and just leave it to store files. Also, I could download a PDF to the SD card, remove it, insert it into my tablet and read the PDF offline.

I see there is a format USB ...

Re: No virtual keyboard on ASUS 2-in-1

In another forum, regarding this same ASUS 2-in-1, I read the following:

To use it as a tablet sans the keyboard I would set up autoboot to graphical desktop with no login and use xfce4 with florence or some other virtual keyboard installed and launchable from an icon.

Now I appreciate the help ...

No virtual keyboard on ASUS 2-in-1

I'm using MX Linux 23.5 on an old ASUS 2-in-1 with a detachable screen. I've only used it with the physical keyboard attached, but today I detached it and wanted to use the screen as a tablet. However when I put the cursor in a field, no virtual keyboard pops. So either I need to somehow activate a ...

Re: I can't boot to either an optical drive nor a live USB [SOLVED]

My genuine thanks all who have responded. I am going to mark this thread SOLVED, although it's not exactly solved in the sense that I can now boot to a live USB drive. But it's solved for me since I don't have the time or energy to pursue it any further. I've attempted every possible solution ...

Maybe tell us what's on the CD or USB you try to boot, and how the media was created.
I am trying to boot to Puppy Linux. I have the live CD/USB both of which were created from the .iso file.
