Re: FVWM KISe

I think many users don't know what those features do and how they relate to desk and window management. What do iconify and tiling do, and where to edit icon and desker buttons?
There are many open questions. How about making one short video? And, is there an Fvwm respin? A 5-minute video and ...

Re: Compiling Xystray for MX Linux?

From there. I hope I pointed you in the right direction.

Thanks for the direction. Several things to be taken into consideration.

Not to waste time, does xystray work or not???? Did some digging. I found rpm package by Fedora. I converted it to a deb package sudo alien --to-deb x_xystray-1.0-6 ...

Re: Compiling Xystray for MX Linux?

Question; which Window Manager or Environment you're using; FVWM or GNOME or KDE?

I am using FVWM. Stalonetray is the recommended tray but earlier trayer and xystray were common. Got interested in xystray because it can be copied anywhere, hopefully to /home/<user>/.fvwm. To become part of the ...

Compiling Xystray for MX Linux?

I want to replace Stalonetray with Xystray, a simple systray (notification area) for XWindow system.

It says installation is simple: download, untar, make and copy xystray where you like. But make command gives error ...

Re: FVWM Kise

Version 1.7.0 has feh --bg-scale which scales wallpapers with screen resolution.

This also fixes the problem with tiled wallpaper on different Fvwm versions and also some distros. In the new update, 1.7.2, the startup tests different options. If feh is installed, it handles the wallpapers ...

Re: FVWM Kise

@rasat did you see Mjaakko's screenshot that he posted on Fvwm Forum? He made one great transparent desk with Fvwm RootTransparent colorset. The window has Picom shadow but all other things and icons are fvwm.

Re: The Story of MX Linux - nice and brief.

One of the written comments is not correct:
The only down side is that it is the slowest to boot of the four different flavors of Linux that I run. Manjaro, Gecko Rolling, and Cachy OS are all substantially faster to boot.
I don't think @user-hv9sg5pl8b is using MX Linux boot setting but something ...

Re: FVWM Kise

I tested MX21-Fvwm3-myExt-3.1.4-x64.iso, works well. I am waiting for Kise scripts. For the respin, I suggest to update Fvwm3 to version 1.0.8. In 1.0.6, FvwmConsole has problems. For general use, nobody will notice it. But for script testing.

Re: Where to find penquin? and other classic icons

Thanks, @artytux, didn't know Gwenview resizes images and does quite well. Gimp gives poor quality.
@siamhie, nice Tux collection. The 64x64 png is also there.
