Display resolutions seem generally pretty buggy. I did a search thru past posts but didnt come up with much that seems relevant.

2.- tutanota-desktop-linux.AppImage that worked fine in XFCE, it doesn't start in KDE
if you start that app from the command line (not from a graphical launcher) do you see any error message ?

On boot there is a notice ... in Grub I guess? "(VMX) outside text not allowed per bios"
Such warning can be ignored. OTOH, have you disable VM-bits (VT-x in intel) in bios. You might try to anable VT / Vm in bios.
