Re: Run/user/1000/mx-updater command not found

Thanks for the reply Fehlix, running the above returns - QT_ACCESSIBILITY=1 QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS=HDMI-0=1;DP-0=1;DP-1=1;DP-2=1;DP-3=1;DP-4=1; LANGUAGE= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=0 I think I see the problem and yes I did adjust scaling when I took my laptop on the road, getting ...

Run/user/1000/mx-updater command not found

This issue arose a few weeks back and after looking on the web I became hestiant to try to fix it myself. When I run the "Check for Updates" I get these errors /run/user/1000/mx-updater-qtenv.hAqea9LKIIo4Bwva: line 2: DP-0=1: command not found /run/user/1000/mx-updater-qtenv.hAqea9LKIIo4Bwva: line 2 ...

Re: Does anyone really use XFCE panel in vertical or deskbar mode?

I've used vertical layouts since LiteStep back in the 90s long before widescreens and have never looked back. My wife runs vertical on Win7. I love Deskbar mode in XFCE, running Adapta-Nokto.

Re: Live USB Maker Oddity

If your installed system doesn't have an installer icon on the desktop or if you've excluded Desktop in the exclusion settings in Snapshot then your snapshot won't have one either. Just open a terminal and run sudo minstall after booting from your snapshot. Otherwise, right-click on your desktop ...

Re: Live USB Maker Oddity

That worked like butter, you be a genuwine rocket surgeon :number1: I really appreciate it. Odd but I always exclude my desktop in XFCE, next time I'll include it the live kde usb and see what happens.

Snapshot Oddity

I've been using MX-XFCE for over a year and the Live USB Maker has saved my bacon a few times. I'm quite familiar with the tool. However, with MX-KDE I'm still able to make a bootable USB but there is no install option. This is my personal backup, your MX-KDE live iso is fine. I'm running on 4 hours ...

Re: Evolution Flatpak default email

Fixed the problem, I just uninstalled the flatpak and reinstalled the old version of Evolution. I hate flatpaks, never use them and this was my first and last time using them.

[solved] Evolution Flatpak default email

The most current version of Evolution email in the repos was a flatpak and all went fine, however I can not seem to set it as my default email client. Heck, I can't even find it on my system, the only clue I have is the properties of the launcher. I couldn't find anything on the forums and I've read ...

Re: What is the real popularity of MX Linux?

Once people hear news, whether good or bad, they want to know why, that's one reason Distrowatch's HPD numbers rise. I too have tried many distros over the years. Arch or Debian based, both have their place. Now DEs, KDE and Cinnamon, too many bells & whistles for me, I like things with a more ...
